Really, a wart is no more than a simple growth coming from the surrounding skin. It needs a Wart Remover to get rid of it. When observed up close, you can plainly see that it looks very different than the skin around it. That's because a wart is a tumor that is growing out of that surrounding skin.

There's no need to worry though because a wart is a benign tumor, which means that it is not cancer. It is just a harmless clump of skin cells growing a bit abnormally on your skin.

This small skin tumor is caused by a tiny, sub-microscopic infection causing entity called a virus. You'll need a wart remover that gets to the virus.

Both bad infections and non-destructive infections are virus caused. Viruses can be found in over 5,000 variations. Wart producing viruses are just like the HPV (human papilloma virus) virus that is known to cause cervical cancer.

There are no "roots" at the bottom of warts. So, a "root eliminating" wart remover is not necessary. The top layer of skin, the epidermis, is where warts grow and their bottoms are actually very smooth. There is no plant-like root system that may extend into the second layer of skin (dermis).

Warts can usually be found growing out of the skin in column-like structures. These structures do not usually grow together in areas of thin skin like the face or genitals. When they are formed on skin that is thicker, these cylindrical columns grow together (fuse) and become packed tightly. This is why they have a rough, bumpy surface.

The black spots you may see in some warts are actually tiny blood vessels growing into a wart. In most cases these blood vessels have only clotted blood in them and are no longer active.

Warts occur in all ages of people, all ethnicities and all ilks. No one is invulnerable. Most warts, however, can be found in young people and children.

Direct contact is one way warts are spread.
Normally, warts will be resolved spontaneously. Not all warts go away quickly. Some take longer to disappear than others. Some of them will resolve in a matter of weeks whereas others may take months or even years.

The immune system of an individual determines the amount of warts and the length of time it takes to start wart resolution. It is the true wart remover. Diseases that affect the immune system, such as lymphoma or AIDS, can cause warts to occur more frequently and to last for lengthy periods of time.

Over-the-counter wart remedies can effectively treat some warts; however, there are a number of warts that are very resistant to this type of treatment. Resistant warts will need to be treated though other measures.

One type of OTC wart remover treatment is salicylic acid, which is actually a form of aspirin in a solution. This treatment calls for consistent, numerous applications on a daily basis. Paring the wart in some way such as with sandpaper, a sharp blade or a rough scrubbing brush, prior to application of salicylic acid, is known to cause the salicylic acid treatment to be more effective.

You can usually protect the surrounding skin by applying some petroleum jelly. It's also a good idea to occlude the wart that has been treated with a small piece of tape or even a band aid. This will improve the absorption of the acid solution.

An effective wart remover treatment used by many practitioners is that of cryotherapy or "freezing" of the wart cells. The provider applies either a spray or cotton tipped form of liquid nitrogen to the wart. When this solution touches the wart it kills the skin cells. The underlying connective tissue or basal cells are not harmed. Only the wart cells are destroyed.

The resulting lesion, from this type of cryotherapy, is usually not long lasting so there is little chance of a significant scarring. Keep in mind that cryotherapy does not kill the HPV virus. The virus is disappated into the surrounding tissue where it is immediately attacked and killed by the normal immune system. Cryotherapy is not usually used to treat plantar warts because the resulting crusted over blister is almost impossible to walk on due to the pain.

Some other forms of wart remover treatment include such things as injection of lactic acid or trichloroacetic acid, cantharidin, podophyllin or even formalin into the wart(s). These solutions and products are, for the most part, not available to the general public. Doctors or other health care providers are usually the users of these therapies and treaments should be conducted and/or supervised only by a trained health care provider.

If you need additional information about natural removal of warts, moles or skin tags, I strongly urge you to Click Here.

Warts, moles and skin tags are usually each treated with a different method, until now. There is one new technique that has recenly been discovered that causes the natural immune system to attack and destroy the viral conditions that cause these skin lesions. Apparently, this technique is drawing rave reviews and is said to be highly effective on stubborn warts, moles and skin tags. The onset time is usually about 72 hours and no doctors or special solutions or applications are needed.
