How To Avoid a Hangover:
1. Make Sure To Eat Before You Start Drinking: It is important to eat foods like fruits that are rich in vitamins, because these foods help absorb alcohol and replenish your body. Eating starchy carbohydrates, like bread, before you start drinking is also a good idea. In addition, you should also try to eat while you are drinking to pace yourself and prevent a nasty hangover.
2. Don’t Drink Too Fast: People who drink too fast tend to not realize how dehydrated or drunk they are, both of which cause awful hangovers. Eating food with your drinks or even drinking a glass of water in between each alcoholic beverage will help you pace yourself better.
3. Don’t Mix Alcohols: Make sure you stick to one type of alcohol, because mixing drinks will not only lead to a bad hangover, but it will also probably cause you to get sick.
4. Try To Stay Away From Sugary Alcoholic Drinks: Drinking tons of sugary drinks, like mojitos or champagne is just asking for a horrible hangover. If you try to stick to beer throughout the night, your head will thank you in the morning!
5. Drink Lots of Water Between Drinks: By drinking water in between drinks, you will be able to keep yourself hydrated and better monitor how much you are drinking. Drinking a lot of water before you go to bed will also help flush the alcohol out of your system.
6. Get Some Rest: After consuming alcohol, the best thing for your body is a good night of uninterrupted sleep.
7. Just Don’t Drink!: The most effective prevention plan for a hangover is pretty simple: Don’t drink! (But we both know that’s not going to happen, so follow these other simple steps to help avoid a hangover.)
