Below is a presentation and handout I used to give to folks I worked with who were headed to Japan. Since I lived in Tokyo for many years a lot of this was second nature to me - was always interesting to hear what preconceived notions people had of Japan before their first trip. Enjoy!

hey not bad for gaijin! :-) I'm half so I hope you don't take offense! But really, "if you bring a gift" ought to be "when" it's customary and it can be really nothing but it should be done in most contexts, in my experience... Reply...
