If you are used to counting calories the old fashion way, you know it can be time consuming. It takes forever to write down each thing you eat while adding it up as you go to figure out if you’ve eaten too much or too little for the day. Luckily, this has been made easier by FitDay.com.
At FitDay.com, you can easily track your calories. No longer do you need the pen, paper and calculator. By using FitDay, you take out virtually all the hassle of counting calories. Another great thing about is the online version is free to use!
Most of the basic foods are already in the FitDay database. You just search for the food by name and indicate how much of it you ate (for example, two large eggs). The system adds it to your daily log, along with all the nutritional information. If you eat something that is not in the database, you can simply enter the nutritional information into the FitDay system yourself. You basically just copy the nutrition label that you can find on the back of all foods. Once you enter a food item one time, the program saves the nutritional information for that particular food item. In the future, you just select it from the pull down menu and you’re set.
At the end of the day, you can look at your nutritional report. On the report, it shows how many calories you’ve eaten and how much of each vitamin and mineral you have consumed. If you are on a low carb or a low fat diet, you can also get information on how much fat, carbs and protein you’ve eaten for the day. Additionally, you can track your exercise, weight and fitness goals. The FitDay system has all the information about how many calories are burned for each exercise and much more.
You can also keep an online journal and chart your progress using their calendar system.
FitDay.com is basically a calorie counter’s best friend, and for it’s price (free!) it can’t be beat.
