Who wouldn't love to eat dirt?
I love dirt. Especially, the rusty red dirt of Arizona. But when it comes to eating dirt, nothing beats this awesome recipe.
The Ingredients:
1 lb package of Oreo cookies, frozen 12 ounces cream cheese, softened 3 packages instant vanilla pudding 1 quart of milk 12 ounces Cool Whip gummy worms (optional)
The SHORT directions:
GRIND the cookies. BEAT the remaining ingredients. LAYER cookies & pudding alternately in a large container. CHILL. ENJOY.
The LONG directions:
GRIND the cookies in a food processor until “dirt.” It helps if they are frozen. They just grind better. Set aside in a bowl. In another large bowl, BEAT softened cream cheese with an electric beater until smooth. Add one package of instant pudding and some of the milk and beat until smooth. Continue until all pudding and milk is combined. Add Cool Whip and beat until smooth.
Starting with the cookie “dirt”, alternately LAYER the dirt and the pudding mixture in a large bowl or new plastic flower pot creating layers, and ending with a “dirt” layer. CHILL for 2 hour. Add gummy worms or flowers (fresh or fake). I like to use a couple of kids sand pails and use the shovels as a spoon for serving.
