The human body is a machine that is full of wonder. This collection of human body facts will leave you wondering why in the heck we were designed the way we were.
Scientists say the higher your I.Q. the more you dream.
The largest cell in the human body is the female egg and the smallest is the male sperm.
You use 200 muscles to take one step.
The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man.
Your big toes have two bones each while the rest have three.
A pair of human feet contain 250,000 sweat glands.
A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball.
The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razor blades.
The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica.
It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds
Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair.
At the moment of conception, you spent about half an hour as a single cell.
There is about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil.
The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your body.
Your teeth start growing 6 months before you are born.
When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate, they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate.
Blondes have more hair than dark-haired people.
Your thumb is the same length of your nose.
Now I KNOW you are placing your thumb on your NOSE, aren't you?

1.NOTHING COMES TO A DREAMER (TOO LONG AND TOO OFTEN) BUT AN INFERIOR QUOTIENT (I.Q.).
2.FAT (THE EGG) AND SKINNY (SPERM) WERE IN THE BED AND FAT ROLLED OVER AND SKINNY LOST HIS HEAD.
3.The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica.
NOW YOU KNOW WHY IT TAKES YOU SO LONG TO THINK OF YOUR NAME.IT TAKES YOUR PROCESSOR AWHILE TO GET THROUGH THE GARBAGE.
4.Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair.
GEE,WHAT IF YOU DON'T DRINK?
5.IF THEY SWABBED YOUR ANUS OPENING AND PUT THE RESULTS IN A PETRI DISH (A shallow dish used to culture bacteria),WELL, I THINK THE COUNTER WOULD BREAK!
6.Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil.
NOW IF YOU COULD JUST RUN YOU CAR FROM SUCH HEAT.
7.The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your body.
SURELY YOU JEST,I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WITH HEADS MUCH.MUCH HARDER. Reply...

"Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil." This assertion is misleading if not incorrect. At least it needs qualification. The statement would hold true if the human body providing the heat were working at an athletic level AND if the total content of heat produced were used. If only the sensible heat were taken into account, it would work for a quart of water more or less.
A half gallon of water weighs 4.17 lbs. (depending on temperature granted). To bring that water from room temperature (70F) to the boiling point (212F at sea level) will require about 592 BTUs. (To bring that water to a boil (convert it to vapor) would take an additional 4,045 BTUs, so let's assume just to the boiling point.
The adult human body can emit between 225 and 700 BTU's of sensible heat per hour (that heat which can affect temperature), the range dependent on activity, seated at rest to athletics in that range. Thus in 30 minutes at these levels of activity, only 113 to 350 BTU's would be produced. This would raise about a quart of water, if at temperature, to the boiling point.
If one includes latent heat (moisture from respiration and perspiration), these numbers increase from 330 to 1800 BTU's per hour. Realistically, latent heat would not show up as a rise in water temperature and the body with a basal temperature in the high 90's would not be hot enough to do this anyway, we all know. Reply...
