Stick around for page two: is this video a fake?
One of the most profound but tiresome debates in discussions of human nature, education, and social psychology is whether a behavior is a learned, socially-formed human one, or a genetically endowed trait. Are language, emotion, self-awareness unique to humans, or did they evolve in lower species (think "lizard brain") and somehow got passed on to us through evolution as a survival trait? The shorthand for this perennial dichotomy is Nature vs. Nurture. As we find out more about the sophistication and emotional life of our fellow species on this planet, we find that even esoteric and seemingly purely malicious human behaviors like, say, being just plain mean, showing rudeness, or even, um, delivering a sucker punch, seem no longer so unique to us. I don't know. What do you think? Perhaps after viewing this movie you'll be able to decide once and for all.

PENGUIN SUCKER PUNCH
You have to admire the insouciance and efficiency with which this cool penguin delivers the blow.

Can you believe that? Turn to page 2 to find out. And read further on page 3 for a twist on page 2.

I like page three. Glad I stuck around. I don't agree, but you make the case for belief succinctly. Also Capt Disillusion on page 2 is my kind of skeptical rationalist. Reply...

Yeah, but there's something to be said for skeptical mysticism. Maybe we'll create a whole new school of philosophy. Reply...
