This time around, I'm going to show you how to play Screw the Dealer. This game is best with a smaller number of players, usually five or less. You're going to need a deck of cards and your drink of choice.
Start by going through the deck and pulling out all the cards of one suit. Lay them face up in order from highest to lowest (ace is high). Now choose someone to be the dealer and have them shuffle the rest of the deck. The person to the left of the dealer goes first.
The players try to guess what the next card is going to be. After the player makes his guess, the dealer looks at the card and tells them if its actually higher, lower or they got it right. If they didn't get it right, they make a second guess. If they miss again, they count how many cards are between their guess and the actual card and take that many drinks. If the player guesses right on the first try, the dealer takes ten drinks. If the player guesses right on the second try, the dealer takes five drinks. After each card is revealed, the dealer places it beside the face-up card of the same rank. This way, you can see how many and what cards are left in the deck. After the players incorrectly guess the card on both tries three times in a row, the deal is passed to the left.
If you haven't figured out where the name of the game comes from yet, let me explain it to you. As you get close to the end, there are only a handful of cards left. If you don't get it on your first guess, chances are usually 1/2 or 1/3 that you'll get it on the second try. Whoever gets stuck as the dealer at the end of the game will definitely get screwed. The game is over after all the cards are revealed or the dealer passes out.
Have fun and be safe. Remember don't drink and drive!
