The Golden Eagle has a wingspan averaging over 7 ft (2 m) and up to 3 ft (1 m) in body length.
Golden Eagles often have a division of labor when hunting: one partner drives the prey to its waiting partner, who swoops in for the kill. They have good eyesight and can spot their prey from long distances. The talons are used for killing and carrying their prey. The beak is used exclusively for eating. Their prey includes marmots, hares and mice. It can sometimes include martens, other birds, foxes, young deer and livestock, such as lambs and young goats. During winter months, when food is scarce, these eagles will supplement their diet by scavenging on carrion.
In Kyrgystan, Golden Eagles are still used to hunt foxes and wolves.

I saw my first golden eagle in the wild while passing through New York last summer. I guess they're coming back. I've seen them out West, but never expected to see them off the NYS Thruway. We have deer eating the shrubs in our backyard. Look like Bambi, act like overgrown rodents. Hmmm.... This video does give one ideas. Reply...
