Amish Friendship Bread                       Serves: 1 loaf

NOTE: USE ONLY NON-METALIC SPOONS AND BOWLS, DO NOT REFRIGERATE.

Day One: On the day you receive your starter, do nothing.

Days, 2,3,4, Stir with wooden spoon.

Day 5: Add.....1 cup plain flour
               1 cup sugar
               1 cup milk
        Stir, and place in larger non-metalic container.

Day 6,7,8,9, Stir with wooden spoon

Day 10:  Add....1 cup plain flour
                1 cup sugar
                1 cup milk
         Stir.
         Pour 1 cup of the mixture into each of three containers and give to
         three friends with a copy of this recipe.

To the remaining batch add:....
          2/3 cup vegetable oil
          2 cups flour
          1 cup sugar
          3 beaten eggs
          1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
          1 tsp. cinnamon
          1/2 tsp. salt
          1/2 tsp. baking soda
          1 tsp. vanilla extract
          1 small box vanilla Instant Pudding & Pie Filling Mix
          1 cup chopped nuts

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix well, pour into 2 well-greased and sugared loaf pans or tube or bundt pan.
Bake 40-50 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing.

You can also use miniature loaf pans, greased and sugared. Bake at 325 for 30
minutes, cool and remove.
