I'm here today to talk about Diet.
No not a Diet, like Atkins, but the true definition of Diet--the way in which you eat on a daily basis
the habitual choices you make.
What you have to understand when wanting to make healthy choices and be slim, is how your body understands and processes food.
Your body does not know that you have access to food and water so easily. It cannot comprehend the idea that you will always have food at hand. The only thing your body relies on is what you ate last. It assumes that you will continue on eating the way you did the last time you ate.
When you eat a huge meal and consume until you feel full, you have eated TOO MUCH! Have you ever eaten so you are too full and then your stomach hurts? This is a sure sign that you are adding fat to your body. You have consumed more calories than your body can take at one time. Even if you ate nothing for the rest of the day, you will still have added fat to your body.
The key to a slim, well-running body is to eat small meals throughout the day, separated by about 3 hours.
This means you will eat less PER MEAL, focusing only on one type of food--i.e. Carbs OR Proteins. Yet you will never feel hungry, and thus prone to overeating. By switching around the TYPES of food you eat per meal you will confuse your body into thinking it must use up these resources immediately instead of storing most of them as fat.
Remember, the key here is to focus on how much you are eating per sitting, and eating throughout the day to avoid the temptation to gorge a lot at one time.
Next Step Exercise.
