He is proud of his unique hands and shows them off. Each finger is formed perfectly and they are all articulated. In 2007, Louise and I were wandering around Udiapur and we wandered into a perfume shop. There he was as fit as ever. I did not recognize him until he pointed out to Louise that he had 12 fingers.
