This was one of the songs from our school's talent show (Rancho Cotate High School) that my band, Duracell, played (I'm the bassist) . It came out with pretty good quality, which is suprising for not only being recorded on GY's camera but for being taken in the middle of the crowd. There were naturally a couple mishaps. Dustin's Bass Drum kept sliding forward (you can see him swich his stick over into one hand a couple times to pull it back), so when I pulled the ever-so-graceful leg-on-the-bass drum move at 2:37 it was actually to stop the slidage. Also as we hit the last note I tried to jerk up the bass neck, but mike was standing on the patch cord. The result was slightly audible and my stumble was very noticable. We never got the chance for a sound check or anything, seeing as it was a non-stop type of event and we came on second after the intermission. I was supervising the soud back stage so I actually never even warmed up. Somehow we came in first place, but we were all just happy to play. |
