About Me

I love to cook and I am so happy that I have joined Spongefish. This is an awesome site and I am hoping to be able to enter some of the contests here. I love to entertain. One of the most rewarding things as far as cooking goes, is when my husband and I did the catering for the Texas Independence Trail Riders for the Houston Livestock show and rodeo. We were literally on the road for 7 days with them, starting coffee at 5 a.m., serving breakfast, getting on the road for the lunch stop and feeding them, and finally to the night stop and serving them dinner. We would not get to bed until 11 or 11:30 p.m. and have to be up and have that coffee brewing at 5 a.m. - Yes for seven days straight. We were so worn out, but they loved our food. The only reason we have not been back again is because I had a fusion in my spine, and we were unable to do the catering for them this year. Very disappointed to say the least. We also did another trail ride that was only three days long that was just as rewarding for us.

We have two wonderful boys, ages 21 and 16. I just can't say enough on how great they are, and sometimes I think about that song Kenny Chesney sings, "Don't Blink", cause that song is sooo true.

Our true goal is to start packaging and marketing our own food line. Of course, finances are the main issue with that, but is something that we want so very much and have faith that it will happen when the time is right.

I can't wait to meet some of you on here and learn from you.

Please visit my new website (I don't know a thing about website building). Maybe I can get a few tips from my friends? www.YouBeTheCook.com
